Robert Bussell, Registered Piano Technician, has been committed to providing excellence in piano service for over 30 years. He is dedicated to spending enough time to tune your piano correctly and will not charge for service not needed. Bob tuned his first piano in 1981 while a music performance
major at the University of Indianapolis (then Indiana Central). It was that year that he also joined the Piano Technician’s Guild and began his independent study of piano technology with piano technicians Barbara Martin, Guy McKay, and many others. In 1984, Bob graduated U of Indy and created his full time business, Bussell Piano Service. Since then Bob has serviced and tuned pianos for a variety of piano dealers, schools, churches and individuals. During the summer Bob serves as the concert piano technician for the Chautauqua Institution Music Festival (an All Steinway music festival) in western New York State.
Registered Piano Technicians are professionals who have committed themselves to the continual pursuit of excellence, both in technical service and ethical conduct. The Piano Technicians Guild grants this credential after a series of rigorous examinations that test skill in piano tuning, regulation and repair.
